Chelsea football club will take on South Americachampions Palmeiras tomorrow in the final of the Club world cup tournament in Abu Dhabi the capital of United Arab Emirate, they qualified for the final by laboring to a 1-0 victory over Asian Champions AL Hilal of Saudi Arabia.
In that game Chelsea clearly struggled to create chance or score when they had a glimpse at goal, we feel their final opponent Palmeiras might pose a more serious problem than AL Hilal did, it means Chelsea will have to be efficient and effective all over the pitch for 90 minutes
To achieve that, we have pinpointed few players that must start the final.
Ngolo Kante. The midfielder started from the bench in the semi-finals but against Palmeiras tomorrow, his energy, pressing and industry will be required against a Brazilian side that tends to play with flairs.
Edouard Mendy. This selection will certainly divide opinion but the reality is that Edouard Mendy is currently the best goal keeper in the world and Chelsea have to start him irrespective of Kepa Arrizabalaga recent form.
Christian Pulisic. The American have had a good rest, he has the skills and mindset for big games and his scoring instinct could be an added boost in a Chelsea attack shy on scoring goals.
Christian Pulisic in for Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Mateo Kovacic over Jorginho. The form of Mateo Kovacic places him above everyone else in Chelsea midfield and he could be best suited for this game ahead of jorginho Frello.
