If Mikel Arteta and Edu needed any more reminding about Arsenal’s need for a new striker, then a moment in the first-half against Wolves will have highlighted it to them.

Lacazette, this season, has just three Premier League goals to his name.

The 30-year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and he looks certain to leave the club.

“They have six or seven of the biggest clubs in the world, it is a very high level, and of course one day it would be an alternative. Every player wants to be the best version of themselves and reach the highest possible level.”

“I have expectations for myself that I am trying to fulfil, so we’ll see where the journey takes me in future.”
